Privacy Policy

Effective: September 3, 2026   ·   Last updated: September 2, 2026

Salon Standard Pro does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. This Policy explains what the Service collects, why it is used, when service providers receive it, and how to request access, correction, deletion, or an appeal.

1. Scope and our role

This Privacy Policy applies to Salon Standard Pro’s website, web application, account activation, support, and related services. For account, website, billing-status, and direct support information, Salon Standard Pro determines why and how the data is processed. For salon records and technician information submitted by a Customer, the salon Customer generally determines the purposes of processing and Salon Standard Pro processes the data to provide the Service. Technicians should first direct workplace-data questions to their salon owner.

This Service is designed for businesses and adults. It is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data.

3. How we use personal data

  • create, authenticate, and administer salon and user accounts;
  • provide cleaning logs, records, reports, alerts, reminders, SDS storage, and support;
  • process subscriptions, confirm payment status, prevent fraud, and maintain business records;
  • diagnose errors, secure the Service, investigate abuse, and maintain audit trails;
  • communicate about activation, password reset, billing, support, security, and material service changes;
  • improve features using aggregated or de-identified information where practical; and
  • comply with law, legal process, and enforceable agreements.

4. How we disclose personal data

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We disclose data only as needed:

  • Within the salon. Authorized salon owners, managers, technicians, and shared devices may access information according to their role.
  • Service providers. Hosting, database, authentication, storage, security, payment, email, content-delivery, and notification providers process data for us under appropriate terms. Current core providers may include Supabase, Cloudflare, Helcim, and Zoho.
  • Support and professional advisers. Authorized support personnel, attorneys, accountants, insurers, or auditors may receive data when reasonably necessary and subject to confidentiality duties.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose data when we reasonably believe it is required by law, legal process, or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud.
  • Business transaction. Data may transfer in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

5. Cookies, local storage, and notifications

The app uses essential browser storage and similar technology to maintain sessions, remember device and theme choices, support offline functions, and preserve security settings. We do not currently use this information for third-party targeted advertising. If you enable push notifications, your device creates a notification subscription that can be disabled through the app or device settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent login or app functions.

6. Retention

DataTypical retention approach
Cleaning and disinfection logsRolling 90 days, after which records may be automatically deleted. Customers should export records before expiration when longer retention is needed.
Account, salon, technician, and subscription recordsWhile the account is active and afterward as reasonably needed for account closure, legal, tax, dispute, fraud-prevention, and security purposes.
SDS documentsUntil deleted by an authorized user, account closure, or expiration of a reasonable post-closure deletion period.
Support messages and screenshotsAs reasonably needed to resolve issues, document service history, improve security, and handle disputes, then deleted or de-identified according to operational schedules.
Security logs and backupsFor limited periods based on security and backup cycles, unless longer retention is required to investigate an incident or comply with law.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove data from encrypted backups. Backup copies are isolated and expire through normal rotation. We may retain de-identified information that cannot reasonably be linked to a person.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal data and access it;
  • correct inaccurate personal data;
  • delete personal data you provided or that we obtained about you;
  • obtain a portable copy of data you provided; and
  • opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We do not currently perform those activities.

Send requests to info@salonstandardpro.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. If we deny a request, reply with “Privacy Appeal” and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also contact the Texas Attorney General regarding unresolved privacy concerns. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

If Salon Standard Pro holds the information only for your salon employer or contracting salon, we may direct the request to that salon and assist it as required by our agreement.

8. State-specific disclosures

For Texas residents, the categories of data, purposes, disclosures, consumer rights, request method, and appeal process required by the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act are described above. Salon Standard Pro does not sell sensitive personal data or biometric data and does not process personal data for targeted advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required notice or consent mechanism before the change applies.

9. Security and data incidents

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the Service, including authentication, access controls, private storage, encrypted network connections, tenant-level database rules, logs, and provider security controls. No internet system is perfectly secure. Customers must use strong unique passwords, limit user access, remove former staff promptly, and secure shared salon devices. If we confirm a breach requiring notice, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

10. United States processing

The Service is operated from the United States and data may be processed in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, you understand that its privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect product, provider, or legal changes. We will post the revised date and provide reasonable notice of material changes. Prior versions may be requested by email.
